Concord, N.H. (April 10, 2023) –The Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges (The Foundation) recently welcomed Mike Ambrogi, of North Hampton, as the newest member to join its board of directors. Ambrogi brings more than 30 years of business and technology experience to The Foundation to support its mission of helping increase access and lessen financial barriers to those seeking a community college education in New Hampshire.
“We’re honored to welcome Mike to The Foundation’s board of directors,” said Tim Allison, executive director of The Foundation. “His decades of experience in business, technology and community partnerships and direct understanding of workforce needs in a high growth sector of our economy will help The Foundation continue to meaningfully serve our local communities and support our students towards educational and career pathways.”
Ambrogi serves as senior technology fellow at Novocure Inc., a device-based oncology company with a novel treatment for aggressive cancers. He joined Novocure in 2006 as its first U.S. employee and served as chief operating officer for over a decade, helping to grow the company to over 1,300 employees serving cancer patients worldwide. Prior to Novocure, Ambrogi worked for 15 years at DEKA Research and Development, Dean Kamen’s invention and development firm, serving ultimately as the general manager. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey and Company as a business consultant. He has a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and also serves on the CASA N.H. Board of Directors.
The Foundation is a charitable organization established to provide greater access to educational opportunities through financial assistance for student scholarships, program development and enhancements to facilities across New Hampshire’s seven community colleges. The Foundation actively seeks contributions from public and private sources to create scholarships and program partnerships that prepare students for in-demand, skilled jobs to meet the needs in the workforce.
